Description

The Aiquile meteorite is the first Bolivian meteorite fall. It fell on 20 November 2016. This is one of the most recent falls on record that was recovered and only a few pieces has been available for collectors. The main fragment fell 500m apart from a man who saw the impact on Earth of a 36 kilo stone. That piece is now in the museum of the city.

It is classified as an H5 chondrite with weather grade of ‘W0’ as it is a fresh fall recovered shortly after hitting the Earth.

This specimen was picked up shortly after the fall and it is the freshest you can get. It still has some soil embedded on the surface that makes the fusion crust less dark. It can be removed.

Certificate of authenticity included. IMCA 5591.
