Description

In 1990 the Gresia meteorite was discovered in Romania in a private garden. It took several years to the owners to identify it. With help of a Romanian mineral dealer, it was identified as a meteorite and later classified as an H4 chondrite. Only 1 piece was found. It weighed 26,9 kg. After Mocs, Gresia is the largest Romanian meteorite.

This slice is one of the largest ones (if not the largest one). It comes from the widest part of the meteorite. The slice shows different colors and litholgies.

Certificate of authenticity included. IMCA 5591.
