Other chondrite meteorites

Apart from ordinary and carbonaceous chondrites, there are 3 additional and much rarer types. Enstatite chondrites (2% of all chondrites) that take their name from the mineral enstatite, of which they have a high content. Rumuruti chondrites (0.4% of all chondrites) that have their metal content in the form of sulfides. Kakangari chondrites (0.01% of all chondrites) that have a reduced silicate mineralogy. Learn more
