Description

NWA 869 is one of the most famous meteorites. It is thought that by mass, it is the largest chondritic meteorite in the world with over 2 tons of recognized material. However, systematic data has not been obtained to prove it.

When cut, NWA 869’s texture is heterogeneous as it is classified as an L3-6 chondrite. In the same piece, amazing chondrules can be seen (in the type 3 parts) with brecciated areas.

In this lot several pieces are offered. They have remnants of fresh fusion crust on the surface.

Certificate of authenticity included. IMCA 5591.

Shipping is combined in all my listings – if you win multiple items, only one shipping cost is paid.
