Description
Chondrites are called so because they contain chondrules. Chondrules were molten droplets of silicates in space that accreted together with some free metals to form the first asteroids 4550 million years ago. They are older than the Earth.
This enormous slice of chondrite shows different textures and colors and will be a great addition to any collection. It has been professionally prepared. One side is polished and the other one is natural after cutting.
Weight is 425,8 grams. Diameter is 18 centimeters.
