Description
Ghubara was found in the Al Wusta Governorate, Oman in 1954. It is a historic meteorite present in old collections. Together with the L6 chondrite Tarfa it was the first meteorite ever discovered in Oman. Ghuabara also has an intriguing lithology with numerous clasts and inclusions in the matrix, some of them providing links to enstatite chondrites. Oman has now forbidden the search of meteorites in its territory so no new material is coming to the market.
