Description

The Aiquile meteorite is the first Bolivian meteorite fall. It fell on 20 November 2016. This is one of the most recent falls on record that was recovered and only a few pieces has been available for collectors. The main fragment fell 500m apart from a man who saw the impact on Earth of a 36 kilo stone. That piece is now in the museum of the city.

It is classified as an H5 chondrite with weather grade of ‘W0’ as it is a fresh fall recovered shortly after hitting the Earth.

This specimen is around 65% covered in fusion crust with regmaglypts, with a characteristic H type matrix in the rest. High-end collection piece.

Certificate of authenticity included. IMCA 5591.
