Description
In 1915, ranchers in Laramie County, Wyoming, USA found a strange heavy rock while clearing fields. The rock weighed 37 kilos and was subsequently identified as a meteorite in 1935. It was acquired by Harvey Nininger and sold to the Center for Meteorite Studies at Arizona State University.
Albin is known for its large angular olivine crystals, many of which are gem quality. It is a difficult to acquire pallasite.
