On May 10, 1879, people in Estherville, Emmet County, heard a terrific explosion that made the gorund tremble and window break. Mainly three large pieces weighing 431, 151 & 106 pounds were recovered apart from a number of smaller specimens. The main mass buried itself 4,5 meters into the ground.
